A new user must first install the app, register an account, and activate it. Then, in the device page of the mobile app, the admin taps the “Add new user” button, enters the new user’s email address, and taps send. The new user receives an invitation notification in the app and can tap accept. The Shudou host automatically sets up the new user’s account and sends a notification. The new user can then access all the host’s features.
When the user opens the mobile app, the app automatically establishes a network connection to the Shudou host based on the current network state. When the user is on the home LAN, the app connects directly. When the user is off-LAN, the app establishes an Overlay Mesh connection automatically. Note: Kodi playback (such as video playback and volume control) is restricted to the home LAN.
Each Shudou user has their own private personal folder. In the app’s Files page, “My Documents” and “Backup” are private folders accessible only to that user. “Backup” is the folder used for automatic phone backups. “Shared” is the host’s shared folder, accessible to every user. Through the mobile app, the user can upload, download, copy, move, and delete files at any time. The app supports online playback of video files.
Open the mobile app. Insert a removable storage device into the front-panel port of the Shudou host. The indicator light will blink. The app will display the file contents automatically and allow file operations.
Open the Worry-free Downloads page in the mobile app, paste a download link, and the Shudou host downloads it automatically. The downloaded file is saved in [Personal Documents] → [Downloads].
This feature is restricted to the home LAN. Open the app, browse to a video file in the Files page, long-press, and choose “Play in Kodi” from the popup menu. The Kodi remote opens automatically and the video starts playing.
In the mobile app, open the Kodi page and tap the blue toggle to enable Kodi. In another video app, tap the cast (or DLNA cast) button and choose primorial. The video will play on the TV through the Shudou host.
In the mobile app’s Me page, expand the “Phone backup” menu, configure the content to back up, and enable the backup toggle. Backed-up content is stored automatically in the [Backup] folder.
Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on the phone and that the phone is already paired with primorial. In the app’s device page, tap the Wi-Fi connect button. Pick a network from the scan results, enter the password, and tap connect.
In the app’s device page, tap the Bluetooth connect button. Pick a device from the scan results and tap connect. To disconnect, tap the disconnect button.
In the app’s device page, you can set the host to power on and off on a daily 24-hour cycle.
In the app’s device page, tap the restart or power-off button.
The app checks for new versions automatically on launch. If an update is available, tap the upgrade button on the Me page.
If you forget your password, use the “Forgot password” link on the app’s login page. Enter the account email address and a reset link will be sent. Click the link in the email to reset. Don’t forget to check your spam folder. In the app’s Me page, you can also set a new password directly.
A system reset erases all user data on the host. Proceed with care! Press and hold the reset button on the rear panel for 3 seconds, then release. The LED turns orange and blinks. Press and hold the reset button again for 3 seconds, then release. The system begins deleting user data and restarts automatically when finished. If you don’t press the reset button again within 20 seconds while the LED is blinking orange, the reset is canceled and the LED returns to normal.
